Adjustable 2.5-Inch Receiver Trailer Hitch: How It Helps

An adjustable ball mount is useful when a towing vehicle is coupled to trailers with different coupler heights. This VEVOR hitch uses a 2.5-inch receiver shank and a vertical adjustment system so the ball height can be matched more closely to the trailer.

Features That Matter

The dual-ball assembly offers 2-inch and 2-5/16-inch ball diameters. VEVOR specifies different maximum towing figures for each ball, including up to 21,000 lb for the larger ball, together with a multi-position 9-inch drop arrangement.

Practical Applications

It suits work trucks or other correctly equipped vehicles that tow more than one type of trailer. Choosing the right ball and mounting height helps keep a coupled trailer closer to level, which matters for handling and load distribution.

Before You Buy

Check receiver size, coupler diameter, tongue-weight limits and the rating of every part of the towing system. A high ball-mount rating never increases the vehicle's own permitted towing capacity; ensure the retaining pins are fully installed before travel.

Choosing And Using It Well

A ball mount should keep the coupled trailer close to level when loaded, but trailer suspension and tongue weight still affect its attitude. Decide whether your trailers use both ball sizes before paying for a dual-ball arrangement.
