Portable electric hoists, winches, and trailer jacks for workshops: compare rated capacity, mounting, travel, and power requirements.
Category guide
Lifting, pulling, and supporting a trailer are different tasks. A portable electric hoist or winch must be matched to its approved operating mode, mounting arrangement, working load, and the available 110–120 V supply. A trailer jack is selected by its rated load, travel, attachment, and trailer geometry.
Do not compare capacity alone
Check the manufacturer’s rated load for the actual configuration, anchorage, duty cycle, and clearance. Never use equipment for overhead lifting or load support unless explicitly rated and installed for that application.
