VEVOR Cordless Handheld Planer, 3-1/4-Inch Cut Width, 15000 RPM Electric Hand Wood Planer with 4.0 Ah 18V Lithium Battery, Brushless Motor, Adjustable Cut Depth, Dust Collection Bag, for Woodworking

18V Cordless 3-1/4-Inch Wood Planer: How It Helps

A handheld planer helps level a high edge, correct a sticking wooden door or reduce the thickness of a workpiece in controlled passes. This cordless VEVOR model offers freedom from a trailing power cord when working around installed joinery.

Features That Matter

Its cutting width is 3-1/4 inches, with a specified maximum depth of around 2 mm per pass and a blade speed up to 15,000 rpm. A supplied 18 V, 4.0 Ah lithium battery powers the unit; the dust bag collects some of the produced shavings.

Practical Applications

It is useful for on-site carpentry, fitting doors and tidying dimensional lumber where a stationary planer would be impractical. Multiple shallow passes generally give the operator more control over the finished surface than one aggressive cut.

Before You Buy

Plan around the actual board width and the direction of the wood grain. Check battery and charger compatibility with the destination electrical supply, clamp the workpiece securely and allow blades to stop before setting down the tool.

Choosing And Using It Well

For fitting a door, mark the areas that bind and remove material in light passes rather than planing the whole edge indiscriminately. The battery-powered design helps at the doorway, but blade condition and grain direction determine finish quality.
