Train Horns Kit: choosing this model

A four-trumpet air-horn kit creates a much louder warning sound than an ordinary vehicle horn. Its compressor and air tank are intended to support the sound system.

Practical applications

The separate horn assembly can be positioned on a suitable vehicle with enough mounting space. It is chiefly relevant to users who understand the associated electrical and pneumatic installation.

What matters when comparing models

Vehicle equipment is particularly dependent on the exact model and service procedure. Published generic compatibility should be cross-checked against dimensions, fastener standards and the vehicle manufacturer information.

Check before ordering

Check vehicle electrical capacity, mounting clearances, local road-use noise laws and whether the advertised 150 dB figure is acceptable. A high-output horn may not be road legal.

Use and upkeep

Secure the tank and horns, use protected wiring and keep air hoses away from heat and moving parts. Test only in an appropriate location to avoid hearing injury.
