100-Foot Window-Screen Retaining Spline: How It Helps

A damaged screen can often be repaired by replacing the flexible cord that holds mesh into its frame. This VEVOR window-screen spline is designed to press new or reused screen material into a suitable retaining groove.

Features That Matter

The supplied cord is around 100 feet long with a nominal diameter of 0.125 inches, or about 3.2 mm. Its flexible PVC construction allows it to follow corners and maintain contact with the screen-frame channel.

Practical Applications

A long roll is useful for replacing several insect screens around a house or for a maintenance team repairing multiple doors and windows. Cutting the cord from one continuous roll helps reduce joins in the screen frame.

Before You Buy

Measure the groove and compare the old spline thickness before ordering. A cord that is too narrow may not hold the mesh, while one that is too large can distort the frame. Use an appropriate spline roller and avoid stretching the screen unevenly.

Choosing And Using It Well

A small difference in spline diameter can determine whether the screen stays tight. If the old spline is still available, measure it and a sample of the groove before buying a long roll for multiple windows.
